I recently got to drive a 1942 Mack firetruck owned by the Denver Fire Department. It's the parade vehicle and it was tons of fun to drive. No pictures though.

That's just cool!

While working in Pt. Townsend WA, I had to repair a '56 Rolls Silver Cloud.

It needed a radio antenna. If you look closely at the top of the windshield you can see the antenna. The antenna folds down to the left or to the right along the front of the windshield via a knob inside the car. When you want to recieve a station you move the antenna to vertical.

The antenna cost more than my car. Wowsers, was that ever a neat car. It drove and rode like a dream. It was the smoothest road car I've ever driven...even if was only a mile into town and back to test the install.

That's neat, Larry! Getting out of the Jeep and into the Roller must have just about cracked your shell! How did that come about?

Re: Rode in a 1936 Rolls-Royce today

My friend drove this car down from Indianapolis, because a girl who works with him in the office is getting married and he offered to be chauffeur. It came with no heater; suprizing since it has so many other aminites. The engine, 12 cyl, is the predecessor to the one used in the Spitfire fighter plane.
