OT - Removing carpet glue from fiberglass.....

Yep, boat needs new carpet.

Anybody know what to use to get the old glue off the fiberglass?

Thanks!

If the glue is dry maybe try sanding it off?

Acetone might do it.

C4? Napalm?

If it's a soft or tacky adhesive, acetone might do it, but probably won't. If it's hard, work it over with a wire wheel to knock the loose stuff off, but don't worry about getting it all; it should be fine as a base for the new adhesive.
