O/T I hate [yellow jackets], how to kill\'em? ?

so today mowing my lawn, i ran over a bee's nest

i was promptly swarmed and got stung about 10 times...mostly on the arms and legs....once in my temple! ouch.

these bee's have a nest underground, they enter and exit through a small hole.

i only see one opening for it, dont know if they have a back door anywhere

how do i kill the lil bastards. is it as easy as spraying the opening full of wasp and hornet killer? or is there a better way to get them underground?

i need vengence!

thanks in advance!

If they are real bees....as in the kind that make honey....look in the phone book for a bee keeper....most of them will be glad to come out and take the hive for you...they will add them to their flocl..........

Otherwise....a Tomahawk should work fine....but if you don't have one handy, the wasp killer works well.....you just have to make sure you get it into the hole and keep spraying.....

they are small and black/yellow striped

i'm obviously not an expert here....but their body type didnt seem like a typical wasp...but they certainley were not the cute fuzzy honey bees i've seen in pictures....

its raining now, but tomorrow night i'm going to flood thier nest with revenge!

Yellow-Jackets live in the ground. Others might also, but I know they do.

They will all be back inside the hole after dark. Wait until then and fill it with gasoline. Add match or don't, that part is optional.
Same thing happened to me several years ago cutting my parents grass. Little Ba$^@&ds!!!!

Those are "yellow jackets"...

Wait until dark when they usually return to the nest (be careful! they'll *still* light you up!), then fill the hole full of gasoline/kero, and torch it off...

the coloration is right, but thier bodies were a lot shorter and more compact....not as long as the yellow jacket pictured.

Honey bees don't live in the ground. Sounds like yellow jackets to me. This is the time of year they get grumpy. Their numbers are up and food is scarce. Probably an easier way is to mix blue dawn in with water and keep pouring that down their hole. The dawn reduces the surface tension of the water and lets it soak into them drowning them.

PS, change your post topic. Don't hate bees. They are good.

Another way is to just get some canning paraffin and heat it up. Then pour it into the hole. The wasps/yellow-jackets that aren't scalded by hot wax won't be able to fly up an out. Most will be coated with hot wax, and the wax will plug the hole sealing 'em in.
