DTS Vent!!

Well, needless to say I am pi$$ed. I blew a lockout on my DTS HP Dana 44 axle Saturday. I ordered the axle with 30 spline inner and outer Moser axles. I called DTS Monday to verify the 30 spline outer and they did. I order my new warn 30 spine lockouts and received them today. I pulled my broke mile marker lock out and they are 19 spline!!!!!

I can't explain my frustration! I am going to call them tomorrow to see what kind of answer they give me. All I can say is build it yourself or use someone else because they flat a$$ suck!!!!

On my itemized receipt its stated, custom 30 spline axle shafts, but I damn sure don't see them in there.

BTW they couldn't even tell me the length of the inner shafts when I asked either. But they swore my 30 spline outers were 9.72" long, too bad they are not even 30 spline.

Mistakes happen. The real test will be what they do about it. Give 'em a chance to make it right.

Re: DTS Vent!!

Hey Brad,
That sucks but I can tell you for a fact Moser (and Dutchman also) don't even make 30 spline outers for Dana 44's. I wanted to run 30 spline outers and Warn drive flanges in my new axle to eliminate the hubs but both companies said they don't make them and most people trying to do this just go with a Dana 60. I still can't believe you popped that hub so easily?!
Sorry dude, Aaron.

Re: DTS Vent!!

Drive flanges are your friend. I'm running the stock 10 bolt ones with for ttb outers. No explosions yet.

Re: DTS Vent!!

Well,

Put in my new lockouts yesterday. Would have had them both changing in about 20 minutes but the passenger side lock ring was a mother to get out took me 30 minutes just to get it out.

When I pulled the driver side out it was in about a 100 pieces. I am going to send my mile marker lockouts back to DTS because they have a 1 year warrantee, so I will have a set for spares. But I hope the Warn premiums hold up better.

Re: DTS Vent!!

If it makes a difference, Warn claims to sell a 30spline outer for the CJ outers. I don't know if it will work for you or not. I had wanted to use them, but found out that it required different spindles, which were backordered...

That sucks about your experience with DTS.
