Re: what is the CFM of a stock carb on a 304?

dont know for sure, but if i were to guess i would say about 350CFM.
I have a 2bbl off of a 360 on the shelve and just looking at the throttle blades compared to a holley 500 2bbl that should be close, however i hope to clean it up in the next couple of weeks and put it on a flowbench to find out for sure. Why do you ask?

I've got an edelbrock manifold just waiting to get put in, and I was wondering if the stock carb would be able to keep up with it for a while (I think I can get an adaptor plate) until I get the dinero for a small 4 barrel carb.
