Tj Dana 30 Knuckles

Looking at my steering system and trying to figure out why I cannot ream the ball joint holes in the knuckles from the top down, pick up the Mog tie rod end that we use on the modified high steer setus on dana 44 axles (has a tie in for the drag link)then make new tie rods drag link to connect it all together out Dom and use the 7/8 stud ball joints for the rest, course would have to ream the pitman arm as well.

Now that seems simple so why won't it work? Is there enough material to ream the knuckles out to the proper size? Is there enough room and is the Mog ball joint with tie in long enough?????

Somebody has had to do this?? It would not exactly be high steer but it would buy about 4 more inches of clearance and beef up the rods??

Re: Tj Dana 30 Knuckles

goferit off road makes tapered spacers that you just drill out the hole bigger and pop them in for a tie rod flip.. pretty slick, but I think you get sway bar mount issues...
