Swapping 5 bolt to 6 bolt lockout on D30

I am interested in swapping out the cheap plastic 5 bolt locking hub on my D30 front axle (84 CJ) in favor of the 6 bolt units which will allow me to use a Warn premium hub component. What parts do I need to replace and what can I reuse from the existing unit. If I remember correctly the early CJs prior to 82 had the 6 bolt unit. My D30 has disk brakes (2 bolt) on it already and I want to preserve that.

I did a search but could not find the information I needed. Any links to a write up would be nice as well.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Swapping 5 bolt to 6 bolt lockout on D30

You need the main hub and lockout assembly. If you have a different thickness brake rotor, you can simply hammer out the studs and swap them over. You might try to find some scout D44 or D30 hubs/rotors. The international manual lockouts are the exact same design as the premium Warn except they say IH on them. Again, just swap your rotor on to the hub. IH also has a much better/easier method of locking the sindle nuts in place IMHO.
