OT Pickled eggs report

Budd's recipe for pickled eggs recieved an enthusiastic Two Thumbs Up from everyone brave enough to try them, including sveral gurlz!

The first batch is half gone, and in the next few days I'll put up a second batch. I'm thinking less garlic, and crushed pequin in place of the jalapenos, just as an experiment.

Thanks Budd, for the recipe!

Re: OT Pickled eggs report

i dont think i've ever had a pickled egg in my entire life.......does that make me sheltered?

if you have some left at Bash time (or some jeep outing before then), i'd be curious to try one!

No..that makes your raised by civilized humans.... not uncultured ape-like "people" who delight in pickling aborted chickens!

There certainly won't be any of this batch, or the next batch or the one after that, but I'll make it a point to bring a batch along.

Re: OT Pickled eggs report

Here's the post where we discussed them a few weks ago:

http://bbs.off-road.com/ubbthreads/s...Number/1466870

Instead of the habaneros I used a few tablespoons of sliced pickled jalapenos, and a dab of red food coloring instead of beet juice. Next batch I think I'll use green food coloring.
