Homemade spin balancers?

Is there anyone with info or anywhere to look for info on building either a driveshaft or tire spin balancer? If I knew a way to mechanicaly measure im-balance in 2 planes of a spinning object and then the amounts,I'd be all set to make plans. Then maybe someone could look them over and design them correctly,heh-heh.

Re: Homemade spin balancers?

I would find it hard to belive that it would be economical to build your own balancer vs taking it to someone to have it done.

If you plan to go into business to make money, I certainly would not want to be around when things fly apart.

This is one area where DIY is not a bright idea.
