You'll have to excuse that, the owner of that flag has been in Iraq for 2 of the last 3 years protecting our freedom. His wife just moved to a new house without him being home, and I'm personally going to give them a pass on this one. I'm guessing they have both suffered more for this country in the last 3 years than you (Taz) or I have, in our lives.

Let's not turn this into another one of "those" threads..

Re: Anyone recognize this old P.O.S. Jeep? : )

It's obvious to me, and everyone else here that Pat is in Iraq and friends helped him by moving all of his things. I see a flag that has seen many days proudly displayed(likely it was displayed as long as he has been deployed). When Pat gets home he will properly retire his flag.
The flag is not being stored properly, so of course Taz took just over an hour to point out the error. I'm glad it was pointed out as it serves 2 purposes.
1. The flag will now be treated with proper ettiquite.
2. Taz has shown us all what type of person he is (again).
No Taz, I'm not lashing out at you because I am angry at anything other than you. Lets be very clear. You think you are somehow superior, but everything you say sounds like it's only purpose is to provoke and anger other people..... Thats a sharp contrast to your "it's a wonderfull life" post.

I’m sure he would take care of it when he got home, but is that what you want? Do you want him to come home from Iraq to find how his “friends” and Wreckin’ Crew brethren treated the symbol of the country he is serving? Do you want him to come home to find as you put it, “a flag that has seen many days proudly displayed”, tossed aside like a used tissue or grimy shop towel?

It wasn’t Pat who tossed the flag there, that was done by somebody who is only patriotic when he has time to be or when it serves him. It wasn’t Pat who took the picture and posted it to this board without regard for the way the flag is shown there. It isn’t Pat that can do anything about it right now. If I where (or claimed to be) Pat’s friend, I’d do what I could to right the wrong before he came home to find how the friends he trusted to keep watch over his family and possessions treated the symbol of his country. If nobody can be bothered, so be it. I’m just glad I don’t have to rely on friends like you.

Yeah, I guess it turned into another one of “those” posts. I didn’t know that was Pat’s flag when I posted my first comment. Now that I do, the proper response was, “Thanks for noticing, I’ll make sure I take care of that before Pat sees it.”
