bent frame 67 cj5

hello first time user here needing help. busted my frame today what a way to start 06 frame bent and ripped right in front of fire wall is new frame only option? all sugestions welcome. thanks mike

You can section the frame or plate the break.

If you can draw the gap together ( a must ) then you can plate and weld it back together.

If you've got a digital camera... this is a case where a picture would be worth a thousand words.

Mike, if the frame is in good shape otherwise (not rusting through) then draw it together, get everything back weher it was weld the break, then plate it with non shear style plates. The ends on the plates should be cut in an s shape. It is an easy fix, but ya gotta put it back right or it will cause more problems than you can shake a stick at!!

something to think about, the early dj5 postal jeep used the same frame as the cj but it was reinforced. Find a old postal jeep laying around.
