water leak 04 Wrangler

I have water leaking into the passengers side footwell. The dealer resealed the cowl and solved the problem for the drivers side. Two times back, so far, and they resealed a splash pan on the passengers side but it still leaks. Anyone have any experience with this?

I love the thing but the leak is unacceptable.

Thanks for reading.

If a water leak is unacceptable, believe me... you're not going to like what comes even more....

There will come a time when you'll just have to realize... It's a Jeep, not a car.

OK, first I know nothing about new Chrysler Jeeps...

But that just sounds like a leaking heater core... It's not that hard to fix and you just might have a warranty in place.

Larry, Will... be nice and welcome this new member to the board.

Re: water leak 04 Wrangler

Does it happen only when you are moving or when you are parked also? Mine leaks water only in heavy rain when the vehicle speed is at 45 or above. Has done it since new. I think the rain water is being driven into the heater inlet faster than the drain hose can drain it out. The water backs up and leaks onto the passenger footwell. It happens maybe once or twice a year. I guess I could build some sort of baffle under the cowl but it is not that big a deal to me.

In the words of a board member who shall remain nameless....

"You have chosen to purchase a vehicle in which everything either a) comes off, or b) folds down. You're gonna get some leaks."

Think of it like living in a tent.

Welcome to the board!
