Transmission Experts? Park/Neutral SW

Background....Project SBC...Put a 5.7L TBI with 4L60E tranny in my CJ7.
I picked up a cable shifter for my tranny off Ebay that came out of a 99 Corvette. Overall, it's perfect for my application.....except it does not have the Park/Neutral/backup switch on the's on the tranny.

Bigger problem...I don't see how I can mount a switch on my holes for it. I'm kinda hesitant to start drilling holes in the side of the transmission....which sounds like something Andy would do....

I don't think I can mount anything inside the shifter.....

Any suggestions from you transmisson guru's?

Well, you don't HAVE to have one, if you're the only driver and and only drive sober and alert. Not saying it's a good idea.

But I can't believe that it's impossible to install one on the linkage. Bid on my shop time for the Save Garth fund, and I'll do it.
