Ford High Pinion 44 with cast on brackets?

What i thought was a free f250 high pinion housing turned out to be an f150 housing with cast radiuous arm brackets. Are there tubes under the cast parts or are the cast parts the tubes? What i'm asking is can i cut off the brackets and use the housing or do i have a worthless housing sitting in my driveway? How hard is it to swap out tubes?

Re: Ford High Pinion 44 with cast on brackets?

I've been told they come both ways depending on the year: tubes pressed into cast radius arms or cast radius arms over the tubes.
