Hardtop Removal

I just bought my daughter a 98 Sahara with a factory hardtop. When we take the doors off and install a bikini top, how do we disconnect the dome light? I found the plug for the light in the hardtop, but it also has a rollbar light/speaker combination. Is this factory or an add-on? This is the one I haven't found the disconnect for yet. I have owned jeeps several years ago, but that was back in the good ole CJ days, nothing this new. Thanks for the help

Re: Hardtop Removal

By disconnect, I'm not sure what you're indicating, but there's a fuse that you pull to stop the dome light and buzzer (key in ignition alert). I don't remember the number in the fuse box, but the owner's manual shows it. Simple fix. I would guess this would solve your problem. Dome light can still be turned on with light switch, I think.
