Crippled airbus landing at LAX

Check out your national cable news channel. There is an airbus which twisted its font gear on takeoff. They are expecting to land it at LAX. Iíve seen this before with an F4 at McDill. That was a beautiful landing. Brought it in holding the nose up until he almost came to a stop. He almost didnít scrape the paint on the bottom of the nose. I was sitting on the edge of the runway at the time. In his case, the nose gear wouldnít come down, which is better than it being down and twisted.

I donít think somebody in a Jeep is gonna beat on this one with a stick.

Down safe and very little damage.

The plane just landed, and it looked fantastic. Burned up the tires and rims, but the gear strut stayed down and came to a full stop safely.

Re: Crippled airbus landing at LAX

I'm not that far from the flight path....You could actually see the plane on final from my house.....

It's times like this that you don't mind that big salary those pilots make......

Now...the big question is....how many are going to sue for mental stress? I'm just waiting for Gloria Alred to pop on camera and say how sad it is that her client is now suffering brain damage from the rough landing......

Yeah but jeeps are still handy to have around, just in case.

Re: Crippled airbus landing at LAX

Glad it all came out OK. BUT......between the 405 vid and the recent jep/cessna vid they will start sueing if a jeep doesn't save all in a crash from 40k ft in the future.
(kinda a "JK" but make me wonder sometimes)

The big question in my mind is whether or not the pilot needed a change of shorts afterwards??? (I would have)

Re: Crippled airbus landing at LAX

Ladies and Gentlemen - This is your captain speaking.

You are flying on the world's first totally automated flight, I am a 7523 computer, no humans are in control.
I have back-up systems to back up the back-up systems. Everything is in total control and safer than if a human was flying us.

We'll be Landing in New York in 4 hours.

Remember - absolutely nothing can go wrong - go wrong - go wrong - go wrong - go wrong - go
