True a router has a firewall but it only block some things. And popups is not one of them.

Side note: I have a router.

Its java crap thats poping up.

[/ QUOTE ]

If your router has domain blocking.... just look a the pop up's properties to get the source and then block that domain.

OK, yes I block crap from other sources too.

I check in from lots of different connections... sometimes I make notes, then block domains when I get home (but not lately).

It's the same lame advertiser's with a new twist (Guess the folks in control don't trust the really nasty a$$monkeys yet, but it's coming).

Now what really cornfuses me????? How in the world with everyone trying to block their crap do they make any money off of the popup promotions????

Yes I spend my days cleaning things like this. It would be nice to just make things work without the flack! There's always someone that wants to sell you something, but who needs their junk?

It's an ugly world... way too much BS...

Ya gotta learn to deal with it.

A router is a nice thing to have for an assortment of reasons, but you don't need a router to block domains.

Check this link for a discussion about the gigantic Nissan Titan ad that used to show up here.

Hw to kill it, FREE.
