brake bleed

So

I discovered a leak in my brake system.

If would be good practice to bleed them even though there was a small amount of fluid in the cylinder right? cuz if brake fluid is coming out...that means air is gong in right?

Thanks
Patrick

Re: brake bleed

I would think repairing the leak is the first concern, once that is done bleed the system....and no you do not get air in a leaking system at all times....sometimes yes,,,,sometimes no....

Re: brake bleed

brake line is cheap, measure from one fitting tot eh next that has teh hole. go to the parts store get the brake line and fittings. and a flaring tool (always handy to have), replace the line, you can bend the line with your hands.

then for bleeding, two words... Speed Bleeders. you can get tehm at your parts store in teh help section.

checks here for your part number... http://www.speedbleeder.com/

easiest way to bled your brakes.
