Re: What\'s your Crawl Ratio?

27.6 Yikes! That's poopy. It is an automatic, which helps, but geeze! I want to get rid of the 3.73 axle gears but I will wait until I afford them AND the rear locker because of the carrier jump. Do it all at once.

Re: What\'s your Crawl Ratio?

They say you get another 2.2 out of the TQ in an auto... but I think its a little better then that.. it's a fluid clutch, so theoretically it should be infinite.. just as the RPMs climb the torque climbs..

Re: What\'s your Crawl Ratio?

It is true the TC adds a bit of advantage when climbing but that same thing reduces the effective crawl ration when going downhill.

Re: What\'s your Crawl Ratio?

401/Th400(3.15:1 1st gear)/Dana20 (3.15:1)/ 4.56:1 gears/ 35"tire = 45.25:1

has worked great so far, we'll see how it works on the Rubicon next week.

Here's another crawl ratio calculator.
