Brakes

was wondering what all it would take to put disc brakes in replace of my rear drum brakes. have heared of the switch, but havn't seen or heard what to do to. It would be in an '81 cj7

There's plenty of information here. It just takes some work to get to it. Use the search function. Start with "rear disk" and start reading posts.

Here's a tid bit to get you started. I've used the import caliper / rotor described by BurnedBronco on my Scout D44 rear. I recently had some issues with the master cylinder, but got things working again. Very nice setup! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

You might also check Brembo and Bear brakes they make kits for alot of different cars and trucks to add rear disc brakes. also try reading here http://www.truckworld.com/How-To-Tec...iscBrakes.html
