Awwwww! C'mon SweetPea! Don't go comparing some o' our less-'cultured' citizens w/ dogs... dogs deserve better!

Now the ever-lovely oppossum... I understand they'll crawl up inside a carcass - living there, w/o bothering to leave to 'relieve' themselves - 'til they've consumed their fill.

Re: OT:Hurricane Question

my dog used to poop in the cats bed......maybe they were pooping in other peoples kitchens?

i dont get it either.....theres a huge difference in values and attitude that varies by socio-economic class. A lot less "take care of yourself" attitudes with the poor....if i was dirt poor i would work as much as possible and use Grants + Loans to attend school to get myself OUT of that situation....

I'm convinced it has to be a matter of culture but its crossed my mind if there MIGHT be a propensity towards that sort of behavior in the race in question.

The trends in that economic class of people is pretty disturbing, it didnt used to be that way either from what i've been told by some older folks whove been around longer....i blame welfare

Re: OT:Hurricane Question

This remeinds me of a Chris Rock bit in one of his HBO stand-up specials.
He was talking about "underpriveledged" complaining that they can't find work in their neighborhoods, and couldn't afford to move to where the work was.
As he said, "That don't mean you can't pick up the [email protected]#$ing trash off of your steps, and not spray paint the walls".

Honestly, I think it is a combination of the two. And I think they feed off each other. You know the type of person - they are everywhere. They're the type of people who get entertainment out of scratching messages into bathroom stall walls, have 0 respect for anyone around them, and just plain don't give a shi*t. They're more interested in the 22's they're rolling on in their Cutlass than feeding the 9 month old baby they had out of wedlock.

IMO, their mental attitude/way of life is a choice. They had the choice to leave but they didn't. They had the choice to use a toilet like any normal human being but they didn't. They expect to be 'given' things instead of earning things.

I do not pity them. They made their bed, they should lay in it. With our without the sh*t.

Re: OT:Hurricane Question

The long awaited help - according to the Dems:

FEMA, National Gaurd, Marines, etc. were supposed to "be there" helping the animals find a place to crap.

That must be Bush's fault too.

With posts like these, I could loose my Official Curmudgeon status.

At least you’re learning.
