TJ Driveshaft specs
Well now that I've finished my SOA on my YJ, I need to find or have built a front CV driveshaft with a running length of 40.5".
Do TJ's use the 1310 U-joints? and does anyone have a link to TJ ds lengths by engine/tranny combinations? BTW, my output from my 231 is for a CV. Thanks |
Re: TJ Driveshaft specs
TJ's use 1310's.
TJ front driveshafts suck..the tubes are really really thin, and the the tube is large diameter. |
Re: TJ Driveshaft specs
Then replace the tube with a thicker large diameter tube. The 70's CJs and FSJs with the quadratrac came with a CV shaft too but it is only 1-1/4" diameter thickwall. I have twisted 2 of those.

[/ QUOTE ] Heh...been there, did that. Here's an "Elusive" special front driveshaft: http://www.jeepaholics.com/support/f...DS_carnage.jpg It's still holding up strong.
