Looking for a good Carb for a 304

I just can't seem to get the stock 2 bbl adjusted to run on hills.

You want the Motorcraft 2100, I think with the 1.08" venturies. Do a search for "MC 2100" You'll get hundreds of hits. A few will be discussions of what vehicles to look for in the junkyard.

What have you done to it?

The biggest thing is to lower the float a LRCH too little will make it splash up the vent hole and sputter (rich)... to much and you'll run out of fuel (lean). Also, extending the vent(or ventS...some have 2 holes) up near the top of the air cleaner (ala "Holley") will keeping the sloshing down...

Other than that, mine runs to the point *I* choke out! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

[img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img] Little Red C*** Hair... or IIRC (only been 5 years since I did it), about 1/8"-3/16" below what the float gauge calls for.
