I have used both copper and the nylon tubing. Over the last 15 years or so, I've used the nylon and carefully routed and protected it. The only time I've experienced a leak was under the hood. The gauge had been installed for over 6 years without a problem. The tubing had rubbed against the fender well from so much "off-roading" [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] and blew a small pin-hole through the tubing. It did manage to blow oil all over the engine bay and down along the frame rail before I noticed the drop in oil pressure.
