estimated gas milage
I know I could go through the process of finding this out myself, but to save myself the brain fatigue, do you guys know the estimated mpg of a 74 cj-5 232, man. trans., 31in' tires, no a/c or anything

Re: estimated gas milage
Range seems to be 12-20 MPG from what people complain about on here.

Depends a lot on weight, tread style, air pressure, condition of tune.

I'm only getting 18 MPG on 33-12.5 tires, use to get 20 on stock tires.

Depends on your speed of travel as well. The excellent aerodynamics of a jeep really shine at speeds below 45 mph.

On my '77 with a 304 and 33's I get about 11mpg. I figure thats about the best I'm gonna get without making major changes. For the time being its ok, but I'm guessing in less than 8 months its going to be an issue for me.
