Chopped CJ5

Anybody ever chop a CJ5 body? By that I mean cutting everything from the front of the wheel wells back off.

Something similar to this

Can't say that I've ever seen one, but a bud just did this to a Commando tub...

I believe it was greenmachine on this board that did that either to a 5 or 7.

Iím in the process of doing that right now, I cut right at the front of the wheel well in the back, and removed everything to the back. Iíve got new down tubes on the roll cage and am in the process of building up the back so it doesnít look so redneck. We used 2x2 tubing along the back of the existing body to beef it up, and provide a tie in point for the seats and the roll cage. Itís a work in progress, and as most projects, itís going way too slow.
