buick v6 question

I've been kicking around the idea of putting a buick v6 in my 67 CJ and I came across an 84 oldsmobile, wrecked, for a good price. Is complete and motor runs. Only thing it's a automatic trans, and I'm planning on keeping my stick. Does anyone know if the crankshafts were drilled for pilot bushings? My machinist says GM is pretty good about that type of thing, but you can never tell. Also, any good sources for a(inexpensive) bellhousing or flywheel?

Re: buick v6 question

Try re-posting on the Jeepster Commando board and call Advance Adaptors at 800-350-2223. The distributor and carb are computor controlled on the '84. If you aren't using the computer, you'll need a distributor and carb from a '79 or '80. A late '77 (even-fire) or '78 would also work, but distributor curve might be different due to '79 and later engines with tall port heads.
