Never went on such a hardcore wheeling adventure. Thursday I was a passenger with my buddy Frank who had never wheeled before, and his Jeep was finished on Tuesday. D44/D60, SOA, reverse shackle, detroit front/rear, 35s, heim over steering w/ brace. We went with 6 veterans in 3 jeeps. When we left Sunday, Frank was had lost the fear in his eyes, and could pick a line on his own with no problem, he only broke a hub the whole way. We went partly into little sluice (up the side), on Walker is some of the best pics. We went down (And up) old (True) Sluice, Gatekeeper, and went to Buck.
3 hubs, 1 Exhaust, 1 Spring, 2 brake lines, 1 gas cap, 2 roll overs, many, dings, dents and scrapes, 1 blown bead, trail-welded drag-link.
Frank's Jeep is the gold one, built by his brother in law in the black jeep, the green jeep and the white jeep are the ones that rolled on the side.
We camped at Spyder, though the cops came by as we were packing up and told us we shouldn't. We went partly into little sluice (up the side), on walker is some of the best pics. We went down (And up) old (True) Sluice, Gatekeeper, and went to Buck. 1 Guy was crushed on the trail and had to be life-flighted out that day.
And on top of it had an earthquake Tahoe earthquake!
