Flopped it again

Here's the pic of my second time.. This is getting to be a pain.
pic
I was doing all of the ledges, and the last one got me.. I guess I was getting too bold
Hopefully someone can make this smaller and post it.
After we got it back over, I wasn't able to get oil pressure, so wwe had to strap it all of the way out. It took 5 hours to get back to the road. The trail ws down in a creek bed,so we had to do some serious hills to get back up to the road. There were a bunch of times I had to run the engine without oil pressure just to get up a section.. And worse than that, there were 2 v-8 powered pick-ups strapped to each other, pulling me..
It was a looooooong day..We got back to the hotel at 2am.
I am now thinking dry sump, or an external oil pump..
This was in Tennessee this past weekend. Pics by nick (redjeep)

I gotcha beat Zach, at least you didn't fling the family pet off into an abyss
Ricky.... flopping just means your wheeling hard. I flopped 5 times last year and once this year so far..out here sometimes you just fall into the sand though.. it's pretty comical.
whats with the no oil pressure thing?

Re: Flopped it again

It's a new trend Ricky. I wanna know how come there were none of your flop at Attica? I even called for pics on the CB.
Did you ever get your oil pressure thing worked out and what was it?

Re: Flopped it again

No flops in Attica, but one was pretty close on the EROC course. That would have been an endo instead of a flop.
The oil pressure thing was unknown, I now have it, but plan to drop the pan and replace the bearings (hopefully that's all).
I am also going to do some sort of external oil pump. Still doing the research. I have never had less than 25 psi at idle (when I have pressure), and usually have 50+ psi when running.
My oil pressure issues are mostly from being low on oil. I still really don't know how much oil my system requires. I am now thinking 10-11 qts.
I was thinking my pick-up broke, as I was hitting the last ledge pretty hard, and slamming down even harder. When we got it back over, I waited about 10 minutes, checked the oil and It started right up. Just a very slight puff of smoke.
Since the oil pressure didnt' come back, I just knew the pickup was done. II now know it wasn't that, just a ton of air in the lines. This is why I am thinking of an external pump. I also like that pressurized accumulator tank, that may be cheaper, and do just what I want... Not sure though..Either way, this was an expensive weekend..
We had a blast though, and I'm wondering when I can get back up there for another attempt at that ledge
