TF transmission shifting problem

I thought my transmission was slipping when shifting from second to third. It turns out that when it shifts out of second, it downshifts to first then goes to third. It doesn't do it all the time. I guess I should check the fluid level as a start. I've had it for a month now and still haven't done that.

Re: TF transmission shifting problem

I checked the fluid and it is bright red and at the proper level. Any ideas?

Re: TF transmission shifting problem

I say drop the pan and look for metal.

I know the feeling, Will ...

edit... My THM-400 manual points to the Valve Body Assembly (damaged cracked binding stuck restricted ect.) But, the exact problem was not listed under "conditions"...
