OBA which upper radiator hose? UPDATE FOUND IT!!!!

O.K. got all my stuff for OBA. Got the tank mounted, compressor, crank pulley, idler, and all the belts. Only problem no radiator hose. The hose I got off the AMC Concord must of had the radiator mounted differently. Hell it's been almost two years since I got the parts. My original hose hits the compressor pulley. What hose did anyone use? I have a York, v-belt, 258, 1986 cj7. Any part numbers or vehicle references appreciated.

HOSE NEEDED FOR 258 with YORK is S-216 at autozone

I don't know what you're talking about re: radiator hose with a York OBA setup. What are you doing with the hose?

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

The upper radiator hose hits the pulleys on the compressor. I need a different hose and cannot find one.

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

I eventually found one at an autozone. In this picture you see the original upper hose above the hose for AC. The hose for AC as extra bends in it. I have since added a 1 inch body lift and it easily clears my sanden compressor now!

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

That is exactly what I need. Nice picture too. Did you just look through the hoses or did you reference a vehicle for the hose. I had no luck looking through the hoses.

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

I asked if they had a different part number for a CJ with AC and they did. It had no manufacturer info or numbers on it and they only had one left! All the other places I tried (pep boys, kunkles, etc) all listed the same part with or without AC.

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

PS: If I did not find that one my next step was to look at YJ/TJ/MJ upper hoses to see if one of those would do the trick. But now with the 1 inch body lift I think the straight CJ hose would clear.

Just a guess, try saying you have AC at the parts store

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

The closest zone to me had a bad selection I just tried looking through all of them. Tomorrow I hunt down the correct AC hose. I thought I had this OBA install beat until this damn hose issue. I can't even drive my jeep (daily driver) until I get this blasted hose. Thanks for the info. That picture was perfect. I'm glad I was not the only one with this problem. Bleoh you even captured the moment for all posterity.

Thanks

Re: OBA which upper radiator hose?

For a little more $ you could just get a flex hose that has memory. That is when I did when I swapped in the 350 in my YJ. Very quick, very easy. I used them for both top and bottom. I would do it again...
