What\'s a rolled TJ worth?

I know this is all about opinion, but...

I have a chance to pick up a '97 TJ (Not the same one in my other post) that has been rolled. It is a 4 cyl w/ a 5spd. Only has about 78,000 miles on it.
I think I can get it for about $2500.

It was a pretty hard roll. Gonna need. Windshield, WS frame & Hinges. Hood. Probably grill.
Will also need a rear axle, but I would scrap the D35 anyway so that is not really an issue.

Overall, the Jeep is in good condition otherwise. It looks like it was pretty clean before the accident. Runs great. Interior is real clean, AC works. Top is better than fair.
Intending it as a trail rig for the GF, so this does not need to go back perfect. But I think I am still gonna have to put $1000-1500 in body parts in it to even make a trail rig out of it.

One more thing. This wreck didn't go through the insurance company, so it will have a clean title, not a salvage title.

If you forget the fact that it means a diehard leaf spring guy would be crossing over to the dark (coil) side...

All things considered, does this sound like a decent deal?

At least it has round headlights.

Re: What\'s a rolled TJ worth?

Why not use the TJ as an excuse to get the bender you have been wanting?
Tube the bad parts and call it a day. I am sure no one else (myself included) would ever want to borrow some time on it.

$2500 for a roller with a 4 cyl? Don't waste your money. It will go for no more than about $1000 at auction.....if it rolled hard enough to damage the rear axle, then no telling what else is wrong....I personally think you would be buying a rolling money pit lemon.
