O/T... Whats better then a sawzall?

Two Sawzalls... cutting up a deck.

Seems when my dad opted to lay some sticky goop instead of torch-on when building the house it didn't work well.

The water damaged the sticky-plastic, and the water went right through, damaged the 3 joists 2 are completely rotted out one is pretty much there too.

The deck after having chopped away 2 of the joists.

You can see the third joist in the pack here and how much its rotted.. the other two just flaked away.

(Dog is helping to clean up. )

And here's the pile of little peices, this stuff is on the verge of becoming dirt... the house was built less then 6 years ago.

This thing reminds me of a toyota frame

You didn't use pressure treated wood? That stuff seems to really last.

Yup, my mom got Jaxon (Berno) about 2 years ago.. we actually just got to stud him for the first time (he won all his championship things, and passed his medical.)
I think he's worth more then my Jeep now.

Didn't use pressure treated wood, it should have all really had some tin/glue stuff put over it.. the snow builds up in certain areas of the deck and creates puddles when it melts. Then it soaks through. It's about a 20-30 min job a day inthe winter (6-8months) of the year to clear snow off certain areas to make the water drain off the outside and not pool against the outer wall of the house..

This is all stuff my dad says he will "Fix in the next house."
