Ford Intermittant wipers same as CJ?

Well a quick search showed 1980-89 Fords might be a good canidate IF you have given up on finding a FSJ with intermittant wipers.

THe wiring diagrams look almost identical to a CJ. I would need a Ford FSM to be sure. Anyone suprised about that?? Someone have an 84-86 Ford with intermittant wipers they can take a closeup picture of one for me??

That plug looks afuly familiar doesn't it?

The plugs and even the wiring look right... the switch it's self is a bit different and I don't see the black plastic box with the timing curcuit in it (there is some black thingy there).

Maybe it's a Ford evolution that AMC didn't adopt... They were real good at that (using obsolete Ford parts).

Keep us posted.

Need pictures or anything of the original 198X CJ setup?

If you have one laying around that would save me the trouble of pulling mine out...again.

This is the best picture I could find of the module of the Ford truck setup

It looks to be mounted in the same half hazard way also.

That's a long shaft on that wiper switch though.

More hanging around then laying around... not that hard to unplug in the old Scrambler...

Four wires to the wiper motor on left. Power and wash wires on right. When not intermittent that black connector plugs directly into the wiper switch.

There's the black plastic box, red connector now plugs into the wiper switch.

I did notice that the switch isn't like my spare (? swapped out because of that ?), it looks more like the one in your picture and has a wire going to ground.

Bet it's the same parts is parts.
