No Spark...Advice

I walked out of my sons 5th grade DARE graduation tonight and the jeep would not start.
no spark. I have a 4.2 fitted with a HEI
the center electrode in the dist. cap was burned/froze.
The HEI has about 1500 mi on it and I assume that the rotor contact was bad. I have had a hi speed miss for a while.

My question is, should I replace the module also due to the higher load it has been doing to create spark?

The tow truck driver is also a jeeper and does a lot of sand tows out here, he gave me a good break!!!

Owning a jeep is a good thing!

Re: No Spark...Advice

Replace the cap and put some dielectric ( spark plug grease ) grease on the rotor and button... that should keep the gunk out of the button.
