Heater Blower Troubles

I own a 2002 Jeep Sahara. There are four settings on the heater blower. The second setting does not work. When I turn the "knob" to the second setting the fan blower turns off. The first, third, and four settings work fine. Any idea what might be the problem?

Re: Heater Blower Troubles

Check the blower motor resistor. It is mounted under the heater AC housing, on the passenger side. You have to remove the Heater AC housing kick panel.

You've got to check for continuity betwen each of the blower motor sitch terminals of the resistor, and the resistor output. If there is no continuity, the resistor is open and the resistor should be replaced.
