Edelbrock AVS or Holly Truck Avenger?

Opinions on either of these carbs would be great. I am ditching my TBI setup and running a carb for EJS, the TBI is giving me fits with the timing curves. I have a 327 Chevy with a weiland dual plane manifold, RV cam etc....

I have no first hand experience with either carb but read a comparo test in a mag that gave the nod to the holley off-road. I have seen excellent results in our jeep club of guys using FoMoCo 2100 two barrel carbs on their v8s, both AMC and chevy. My .02 :All Good:

Why not a Q-jet? A lot less money, and I've had great luck with mine.

John:

Q-jet is the only way to go for wheeling. The primaries on the 750 cfm Q-jet are smaller than on Holley's 390 cfm 4 bbl, making it a great canditate for your 225 V-6 flattie, as well as for the 327 V-8 Jeepster. If you go new, get the Edelbrock # 1904. With the center-hung float bowl, a properly set up Q-jet will give you way less trouble than either the Holley or AVS.
