O/T - I had to have one

A few weeks ago I and my wife were out in the desert (Ocotillo Wells), where we usually spend the weekends and our neighbor had one of these bikes. I rode it around a little bit and really enjoyed it. To my surprise when I asked if we could get one she said yes!! Yippee!! The next week we went down to Moto Pro in Oceanside and picked one up. I also ordered a new exhaust, bigger foot pegs and stiffer springs for the front and rear. The good thing about this is when we do have kids that special someone will already have a bike to ride - well when were not enjoying it I sure feel like a kid riding around and for some reason it makes me laugh. Looks very similar to the 80cc suzuki I found at an auction last summer. I paid $90 for it and it runs (starts). Still haven't gotten to ride it yet, need a clutch, shifter pedal, and some brake linkage parts. I figure it'll be perfect to teach our son how to ride, and fun for me to play on too.

Re: O/T - I had to have one

It's not as quick as those YZ80's for sure. Me and a buddy used to ride around on those when we were kids. That was until we ran from the cops. I should have known better since my mom was a dispacher for the pd, but you live and learn. I'll have to use a gps to see how fast it is, but i'm guessing 35-40 tops. Not near as quick as the 2 strokes. That's ok - my wife is a little clumsy sometimes and i don't want to see her kill herself.

I tried posting the picture as Caver Dave did, but instead it posted as an attachment. I didn't notice that until after i edited it with the link to Yamaha. I'll figure it out one of these days
