Re: Compressor Pressure questions

Well I'd guess that you either need a pressure switch which will shut off the compressor at 5psi and turn on at 3 or 4psi. Your second option, and the one that I think would be easier, is to put a regulator in the air line so that no more than 5psi gets past the regulator. With that setup you can still run an air tank at 120psi and run air tools and air up tires, but still get the low pressure you want.

Re: Compressor Pressure questions

I 'did' have a York.
I'm doing an SBC conversion and I'm looking into converting the stock AC compressor into an Air compressor....I think that will be easier than converting my CJ to have air conditioning,,..which you don't really need in So Cal.... or making an idler pully to take it's place.

Re: Compressor Pressure questions

Well you went and changed your post on me after I posted, so my reply makes no sense......lol. I've got a York and its fantastic. You can find one and all the brackets you need off a Grand Waggy with A/C, and isn't too hard to pull off.
