some progress

i have finally gotten the front end in my jeep after being in pieces all winter. All that is left on the front it hook up the driveshaft, and put brakes on it, and go thru and tighten all the bolts. I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: some progress

Mav....couldn't help but notice the rust under your rig....is that what those salt laden roads up there do to your vehicle? Ouch......

Otherwise...nice job. Let us know how it handles...

The attached is my front axle on a bad day......this was prior to me doing a tie rod flip.....

Re: some progress

actually the rust on the axle is from years laying in the junk yard, and the rest of the jeep is jut caked in mud still, i didnt wash it before i started working on it.

Well at least I am not the only on,,, Aaron's (yjguy) takes the cake, ran it down into a big mud woller and the clutch smoked. Dropped mud on my head all day changing that clutch!!

SO I guess this means no full hydro??

The more I work on mine the less I think it will be done on time for the bash.

You don't have a t90 laying around up there do you??

*cringes* I usually keep mine pretty clean, especially before working on it. I just HATE mud and crap dropping all ove me and into my eyes when I'm under there. LOL, I've even gone as far as making someone take their junk to the car wash beforehand If they want me to fix something. I'll make an exception this weekend though Joel....just for you.
