Chevy NP 208 T-case in a CJ?

I am planning a swap of a Chevy 350 v8 and turbo 400 tranny into a CJ7. It also has an NP 208 T-case attached. I would like to use it but I believe the tailshaft/ slip yoke is too long. Has anyone seen one used or used one? What would be a more suitable case be that could be hooked up to the turbo 400?

It al depends on how much dough you have, I would do dana 300 If it were up to me,, but I would have to look it up to see how much diffrence there is in length between the two.

Adaptor and Dana 20 would bolt up but I don't know if it would give you what your looking for.

This is a BOP th-400 / dana 20 combo.

A TH-400 anything combo is going to be pushing the length limit. I don't think you'll be able to run anything with a slip yoke. I read somewhere that there was a company in the works of making a slip yoke eliminator an NP208, but haven't seen one yet. What about an NP205? They are heavy but seem to work well. Getting the guts out of an AMC TH-400 / D20 combo would be cool, but it's alot of work and you have to find one 1st (I was under the impression you have to change out tail shaft, not just adapter and slip shaft, but could be wrong).
