Why when putting a CV on a jeep equiped with a 20 or 300 TC why do you need a new spicer part for the output shaft? I understand why you can't have a slip yoke like on wranglers, but I can't see why I can't just put on a CV shaft on my TC as is. I'm putting the CV on either a D20 or M300 but havn't decided which to use yet. Thanks
I just did it this week end. You do have to change the yoke because the bolts to fasten the cv end to the yoke have to go into the back. I didn't really understand it all untill I saw it. Basically it just mounts differenlty. It was really easy to do. Hardest part was driving around trying to find the right socket for the nut on the output shaft. 1 1/4". If you want more info just ask.
