New Grand Cherokee with a Lift?

I have been doing some perusing of the ORC's website while waiting for class to start and I came across an article about the new Grand Cherokee cutomized by AEV Conversions.

Am I reading this right?

[ QUOTE ]
The vehicle really does drive like stock. I feel that the IFS has some inherent advantages on a vehicle of this type and is actually suited better than a straight axle. I know Jeep people cringe at the sound of this, but they need to keep an open mind. This vehicle is much better balanced than the WJ it replaces. " - Dave Harriton, Owner of AEV

Re: New Grand Cherokee with a Lift?

well thats a good looking GC...

maybe its better than a solid axle because its got not room for flex?

if you had any tire drop on it the other wheel would get crammed into the wheel well like theres no tomorrow

just a theory...the only one i can come up with

Re: New Grand Cherokee with a Lift?

I read the article and had the impression that the line "for a vehicle of this type" was recognizing that most GC's and other sport utes are never driven offroad, and IFS is better for highway driving. And it is a great looking vehicle.
