air bag question

Both air bags will need to be replaced in my 98 tj, I have seen that some Cherokee models are the same. Anyone know what models and years will work in my 98 tj?
Also does the air bag controler need to be replaced?
Thanks

Re: air bag question

Maybe its just me, but this is the kind of thing that I'd leave up to a certified mechanic who does collision repair work and has experience with airbags. From my understanding, installing them can be dangerous if done improperly and for a life saving device I'd hate to screw up and find out the hard way.

Re: air bag question

i am in school right now to become an auto tech and we went over air bags about a month or so ago and they are not hard to put in if you know how to and have the right instructions to do it. the hardest thing you will have to find is disarming the new air bag or the old ones if they have not poped. you just hafto to take care carrying them around they can get set off from droping them or shaking them.
