questions about Buick 3800 V6

I've done a little searching but finding mostly about the 226 cid Buick V6 that people put into Jeeps.

does a 3800 V6 fit? what tranny can you bolt up to it?

not to spam about selling something, but I just inherited my grandmothers 1990 Buick LeSabre with 64K miles, but the tranny is rubbish..... selling the car will be impossible, its driveable but strugglin. I'd rather help a Jeeper out!

would a Jeeper be interested in this engine? I dont know if it has to be a RWD Buick that the engine comes from. I'm wondering if I should hold onto the car and try to help out a Jeeper or just let a junkman come take the car away from me, I don't need it.

sorry if this is considered

Re: questions about Buick 3800 V6

i doubt it will have much value for a jeep since its a Front WD engine. Any attempt at putting this in a jeep would require a lot more work than other engines which would be superior in most ways.

if you dont think you can get cash for it try looking into parting it out on ebay or something

Re: questions about Buick 3800 V6

thats what I worry about since its front wheel drive, the tranny setup is completely different from an older, rear wheel drive V6 with a normal-type bellhousing

If that 3800 happens to be Supercharged... you can sell that for nearly as much as the car it's self. Go to eBay if it is.

And no that's not a easy transplant into a Jeep.

Two 3800 motors in the fleet, strong little boogers.
