do i have a lift ?

Hi guys
i am trying to find out if i have a Liftkit on my jeep.
does anyone have a way to find out ?

(i have been thinking that a measurement from axel center to the bottom of the fender must be the best)

does anyone have a better idea

thanks

Re: do i have a lift ?

i think they are 28inch on 15x 7,5 inch rims
they are original jeep rims with the original tires.
they dident come with the jeep mine was stolen the day before i picked it up, and i got these so i could drive it home.

sadly i havent got a picture of it on my computer. and thats why i want to find out how to measure if it has got a lift kit

Re: do i have a lift ?

By knowing it has 28" tires maybe someone can measure their stock Jeep from Ground to bottom of tub under drivers door to get you an idea of what you have,, sorry but mine is not stock and i dont know the stock height.

Re: do i have a lift ?

Got 3 different CJs here with more or less stock suspension.
Tires from 235/15 up to 32" all measure from the ground to the rocker (under the centre of the driver's door) from 21" - 22".
So I would say anything signifigantly over 22" would be a lift.

Re: do i have a lift ?

Good luck!

As the Jeep sits on level ground the top of leaf springs should be almost flat - no more than an inch of arch. The springs should pass underneath the axel. The shackles should be about 5 inches long - about the width of your hand. The body mount biscuits between the frame and the body should be about as thick as your index finger.

If any of the above conditions aren't true, it's been lifted.
