Rear brake hose for SOA setup?

Just about ready to start tearing into things. Scout II Dana 44s. I think I've got the front brake lines figured out. I do have part numbers if anyone else is curious. My question is does anyone know of an extra long rear rubber brake hose out there. I'm trying to stay away from stainless and special order items to make repairs down the road quicker and easier. Any suggestions are welcome.

Re: Rear brake hose for SOA setup?

Well in my SOA setup I used a hose from a 93 GMC 1500 full size. And had it drop down in the center of the axle. Have not tested it but i dont see how i could move the axle down that far. I will get some pics of it for ya..

Re: Rear brake hose for SOA setup?

On my YJ 8.8 combo I used a stock rear line from a Ford truck. I *think * it was a 79ish 2 wheel drive. Any decent auto parts store should have a catalog that gives the length and fitting sizes for brake lines. I did my best to use readily available off the shelf parts in mine also. The only problem is I have lost all the part numbers. If you could post the part numbers that would be great.

Re: Rear brake hose for SOA setup?

What did you do about the metering block? Did you just plug up one of the holes that went to the other front wheel?

I'm doing an SBC conversion and the brake lines are in the way of the motor mount...so I will need to remove all of my front brake lines and redo them....might as well go with the single line down...seems a lot simpler.
