Engine light on....now what

Jeep was missing sometimes at start up, so i figured new plugs may help. changed plugs on sat (bosch platinum) then sunday, the engine light came on, but still runs fine. so now what? i know on some vehicles you can turn the key on and off 5 times and it will flash a code or something, but i am guessing not on this jeep. so any options besides taking to a real garage?

o yeah 00 TJ, 4.0, 5sp, 70K, also just added k&n-like cone air filter about a week ago.

thanks all

Autozone and others will pull the code for free.

Re: Engine light on....now what

i would willing to bet that your cyl 3 code is directly related to the bosch platinum plugs. They have a tendancy to make almost any vehicle run badly.

Re: Engine light on....now what

Shawn, I would recommend the same plugs that came out in the engine originally. They were selected by the manufacturer for that engine. Just my $.02 worth.
