Charcoal Evap Cannister Hose Routing

Hello,

I am trying to put an 83 cj7 258 back together for emissions/smog checks. I am having difficulty locating where to put all of the hoses coming off of the cannister. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Pictures are also great. I am having the most difficulty locating the Carb Bowl Vent, Can Purge and Purge Signal. Any help on where to put these hoses would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

I think there is a section in the Jeep tech section of this site that is called the Carter BBD Primer. If I remember right it has several emissions diagrams.

This jes' goes t' show ya thet once yew take a southern boah away from a moon still, he's jest about helpless! Seriously, what you will want to add to that setup is a FUEL FILTER on the big line so the old charcoal in that 1983 vintage cannister won't get loose and get into your intake. Just use a regular in-line filter,......it's cheap insurance.

Re: Charcoal Evap Cannister Hose Routing

Thanks for all of the suggestions, but I actually have found all of those tips already. On the diagram on this link (http://home.sprynet.com/~dale02/evaporat.htm) I just need to know where all of the tubes go. I have the fuel tank covered, but cannot locate the fuel bowl hookup on the carb, the manifold vacuum, or the ported vacuum lines. Any assistance in locating where to hook these up would be greatly appreciated!
