Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

Is there an actual difference? I just got home from checking out the farm supply store and notice this jack. $39.95
Good deal or do I buy the Hi-lift Brand? The one that I have now is toast, it was given to me some time ago and had been welded on the.

TIA

Mike

Re: Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

Check out this thread I found on the Geo forum, and this one from the Midsize Jeep forum. Here's one more from the Toyota guys here.

Hope this helps.

Re: Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

the metal quality is different....farm jack breaks easier

at farm and fleet i got my hi-lift for 49 i think....so its not a big difference for the extra safety

Re: Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

And I forgot to mention in my previous post, but Hi-lift supports this BBS and deserve all the business we can give them. They recently gave away a special edition jack to one of our members just because.

Re: Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

And if you show up at an official BBS Bash with a Hi-Lift knockoff you have to buy the beer. With this bunch, that will cost WAY more than the difference.

what part of your hi-lift is messed up......you can get the re-build kit for pretty cheap......but if your going to by a new lift get the hi-lift....its only $10 more then the farm jack....

Re: Hi-Lift jack vs. Farm Jack

I have had both and now will not even help someone jack one up without it being highlift. Quality is much better. And if not for that reason, Austin Hara and his Family have not only supported the Bash since day one but are dang fine people to boot. I would rather give them the money thatn the Chinese.

If you call highlift and thel them about your problem they will make it right. It may cost you a few bucks but you will be miles ahead in my opinion.
